"Mangpong 1989 Public Company (Limited)", a sole proprietor of chain stores under the trademark "Mangpong", was established in 1981 by Mr.Montri Mitsatha and Mrs.Kityajai Triekvijit.

The first Mangpong Shop was located at The Mall Rajprasong, offereing various movies and music in forms of Laser Disc, VHS, Tape Cassette, as well as other related products such as posters, T-Shirts, etc. During the past 31 years, Mangpong Shop has altered the form of its products to serve correspondingly to ever-changing technology and consumer behavior i.e. transforming Laser Disc, VHS and Tape Cassette to VCD, DVD, Blu-Ray and Compact Disc. Additionally, Mangpong Shop has gradually grown together with the department store business. Mangpong Shop has expanded its branches all over strategic areas in Bangkok as well as other major provinces all over Thailand such as Pattaya, Chiang-Mai and Nakorn-Srithammarat in order to respond to growing demand of its customers.

The roles of "Pongsaap Public Company (Limited)" are not only to retail finished products to end-users, but also to acquire copyrights and to distribute international music and Thai films such as "Buppha Ratree", to establish the Edutainment market of BBC, Discovery, National Geographic and Animal Planet titles.

Today, "Pongsaap Public Company (Limited)" manages all 40 Mangpong Shops nationwide. Moreover, "Pongsaap Public Company (Limited)" will continue to manage trust kindly granted by its loyalty customers and alliances in order to offer life inspiration via movies and music continuously.
